Come and spend a couple of joyful hours making something fun, sustainable, and entirely your own in this hands-on Smiley Patch Workshop — a friendly, creative space where upcycling meets play.

Over the course of two hours, you’ll learn how to create your own unique smiley face patch using a mix of recycled and deadstock textiles. These happy, handmade patches are not only fun to create, they’re also a great entry point into the world of visible mending, repair, and upcycling. You’ll pick up simple stitching and appliqué techniques that can be used again and again to breathe new life into tired clothes and accessories — no sewing experience needed!

This is more than just a making session. It’s also a chance to slow down, connect with others, and explore sustainability in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you come solo or with a friend, there’s always a warm atmosphere and friendly faces.

What’s included:

– Your finished patch to take home
– The option to apply your patch to a tote bag or item of clothing (feel free to bring your own!)

Whether you stitch your patch onto an old tote, add it to your favourite jeans, or simply pin it to your jacket – you’ll walk away with a cheerful reminder of what’s possible when we get creative with what we already have.

Spaces are limited to keep the session small and social, so early booking is recommended.

By booking a ticket you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

1. Booking and Payment:
   • Participants must book and pay for their workshop ticket in advance to secure their spot.
   • Payments are non-refundable, but may be transferable to another individual on the same date or used on a future date with prior approval from the organizer.
2. Attendance:
   • Participants are expected to arrive on time for the workshop. Latecomers may not be admitted, and no refunds or credits will be issued for missed sessions.
   • If a participant is unable to attend a workshop, they must notify the organizer as soon as possible.
3. Health and Safety:
   • Participants are responsible for their own health and safety during the workshop. They must follow any safety instructions provided by the organizer and use workshop materials and equipment responsibly.
   • The organizer reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any participant from the workshop if they pose a risk to themselves or others.
4. Photography and Videography:
   • By attending the workshop, participants consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. If a participant does not wish to be photographed or filmed, they must inform the organizer.
5. Intellectual Property:
   • All workshop materials, including instructional content and handouts, are the intellectual property of the organizer and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.
   • Participants retain ownership of any original creations made during the workshop, but may be asked to grant the organizer permission to use images of their work for promotional purposes.
6. Cancellation and Changes:
   • The organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop in the unlikely case  of unforeseen circumstances . In such cases, participants will be notified as soon as possible, and alternative arrangements may be offered.
7. Liability:
   • The organizer is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred by participants during the workshop, except in cases of negligence or misconduct on the part of the organizer.
   • Participants are responsible for any personal belongings brought to the workshop, and the organizer is not liable for any loss or damage to these belongings.
8. Privacy Policy:
   • The organizer may collect personal information from participants for the purpose of workshop registration and communication. This information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
